How the size limit works
The tool measures each encoded file in bytes. It looks for a quality setting that fits your limit. If that is not enough, it can reduce the pixel dimensions while keeping the aspect ratio. Turn off resizing when your form requires fixed dimensions; you will see a clear message if the limit cannot be met.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Images are processed locally in this browser. Closing or clearing the tool releases the files from the page.
Does this support iPhone HEIC photos?
Yes. HEIC / HEIF files are decoded locally and exported as a still image. Burst photos, Live Photo motion and HDR data are not preserved. Some HEIC variants may not decode. AVIF input and WebP output depend on your browser; unsupported files or formats are reported instead of silently changing the output.
