Which format should I choose?
Use PNG for transparency, graphics and screenshots. Use JPG for photographs and broad compatibility. WebP can keep transparency while offering lossy compression. Converting a compressed image to PNG cannot restore detail that was already lost.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Images are processed locally in this browser. Closing or clearing the tool releases the files from the page.
Does this support iPhone HEIC photos?
Yes. HEIC / HEIF files are decoded locally and exported as a still image. Burst photos, Live Photo motion and HDR data are not preserved. Some HEIC variants may not decode. AVIF input and WebP output depend on your browser; unsupported files or formats are reported instead of silently changing the output.
